Aston Villa have lost captain Stiliyan Petrov for three weeks because it was a knee injury. He suffered the injury when Villa lost 1-0 from Sunderland in the Premier League continued at the Stadium of Light, Saturday (23/10).

Birmingham City Petrov had to be replaced by Steve Sidwell after 38 minutes of play. He is also required to undergo a scan test to find out how severe the injury was.
