ATP Bangkok - Coup perfect! Nadal fails in Bangkok

Rafael Nadal is in the semifinals of the ATP tournament in Bangkok against his countryman Guillermo Garcia-Lopez failed unexpectedly. The world ranking first from Mallorca won the first set easily 6-2 had initially, but then against García-López and 3:6 6:7 to admit defeat.

"I've never beaten a No. 1 player," enthused the 27-year-old Garcia-Lopez. "Although I have already defeated some good top-10 player, but never a number 1"

The world number-53. described the 7-3 victory in the tie-break of the second set as the turning point of the entire game. "I've felt so much better after that and played from then until the end great. Everything fit perfectly."
Garcia-Lopez cracked with its Asia-Coup Nadal's winning streak of nine consecutive wins since his U.S. Open triumph about a month ago. In the final, the Spaniard now meets the Finn Jarkko Nieminen, of the German Benjamin Becker easy 6-3, 6-2 in the tournament raised.
