Curiosport - Cries in tennis to help you win

Not just technique and strength live professional tennis player. The moans that release some players in the circuit as Maria Sharapova and Rafael Nadal for hitting the ball to help them have some advantage over its rivals. A study proves it.

According to a study published in the journal PLoS ONE by the University of British Columbia, in collaboration with the University of Hawaii, players who make a sound when striking the tennis ball are more likely to win the point during a game.
Puzzle to rival
To demonstrate this thesis, psychologists Alan Kingstone Scott Sinnett and tested a total of 33 volunteer university students who were taught a variety of video players in the game.
The subjects had to guess the direction of the ball, left or right, the right moment in which the player hit the ball, marking on a keyboard.
The tests revealed that when a player was accompanied by his coup with typical signature call, the response of subjects to review was much slower and the chance to hit decreased dramatically.
Do you really get confused?
According to scientists, "the sound interfered with the performance of the participants, making her less rapid and accurate response."
Universities are now trying to figure out if this really impacts a tennis pro, or else a training base have to get accustomed to that sound and do not affect performance.
