The eight cities proposed by Poland and Ukraine will host matches of Euro 2012 football as planned, UEFA confirmed on Monday.
The director of the organization of the event, Martin Kallen said in a visit to Warsaw in May this year that Poland may organize one of the tournament if stadiums in Ukraine were not ready on time, but has ruled out such a drastic decision.
"We feel that Ukraine is fully capable of work (to host the tournament)," he said Monday at a press conference the president of UEFA, Michel Platini.
"Therefore, the executive committee has decided to split the tournament into two equal parts between the cities of Poland and Ukraine (four and four). We will not change anything (the original plan)," he concluded.
